It’s on! Grand Nordic is happy to announce they will be hosting their annual Ranch2Ranch Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Trek on both Saturday and Sunday, February 6th and 7th. Due to the size limitations imposed by the county, they are offering registration for either day.

This is your chance to ski or snowshoe on the groomed Fraser to Granby trail and help fundraise for Nordic programs for youth and schools in Grand County. The trail runs between Granby Ranch Ski Area and Snow Mountain Ranch (YMCA) and is 12km—or ski back for 24km!

Unfortunately, due to COVID, they will not be able to provide a shuttle bus or lunch. Start at Granby Ranch and park at the Oregon lot. Parking is also available at Snow Mountain Ranch.

Grand County has asked for a “wave start”. Check in will be from 9 am – 10:30 am at Granby Ranch Ski area ONLY at the base area. All participants must check in before starting, in order to get your bib and trail pass. You will be asked to select one of three time slots: 9-9:30am / 9:30-10am / 10-10:30am. The route will be marked, but this is an untimed event and not a race! There will be two aid stations along the way, with snacks and refreshments and medical personnel will be available.

Rental equipment is available at Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center. Be sure to stop by on the way if you need equipment.

Cost is $30 for Grand Nordic members and $35 for non-members. Participants are asked to register by Thursday, February 4. Any registrations received Friday, February 5, will be charged an extra $5. There will be NO onsite, day-of registration. Memberships available on the Grand Nordic website at: grandnordic.org.

As always, COVID restrictions apply. Please be respectful of social distancing, stay home if you feel ill, and please bring a mask to wear around others, including check-in and aid stations. Masks are not necessary while skiing, unless you’re in close proximity.

Register now at grandnordic.org. If you have any questions, call Grand Nordic at (970) 887-0547.
