Skiers and riders have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday weekend, starting with the opening of Mary Jane and the Super Gauge Express, which are slated to open on Black Friday, November 29. Even before Friday, Winter Park Resort will nearly double its open terrain with the opening of four additional lifts and associated trails on Wednesday, November 27. The tubing hill and on-mountain snowcat tours will also launch for the season on Wednesday.

Planned lift openings on Wednesday include the High Lonesome Express, Olympia Express, Looking Glass and Lariat. Hobo Alley, Lonesome Whistle, Whistlestop, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat and Upper Cranmer are among the anticipated trails to open on Wednesday.

With the official opening of Mary Jane for the 2019/20 season on Friday, skiers and riders can Venture Out and hunt for perfect lines and powder stashes on Mary Jane Trail instead of hunting for bargains at crowded shopping areas. The Super Gauge Express will start rolling at 9 am. on Black Friday, taking skiers and riders to the season’s first open terrain on Mary Jane. In addition to Mary Jane Trail, Lower Arrowhead Loop, Shoo Fly and Sober Englishman are among the trails expected to open on Friday.

With more snow in the forecast for Thanksgiving weekend, it’s the perfect time to Venture Out at Winter Park Resort.  winterparkresort.com
