I don’t want winter to fly by just to get to next summer. I enjoy winter …(and I’m not sure how many more trips around the sun I have left).

I just want a restart!  Who’s with me?

I know we should all be excited for what is right in front of us at any given moment, but I believe this summer had to be one of the fastest on record. The newspaper business tends to eat the clock, quite literally. One conversation to the next, it all seems to blur together, and, pretty soon, the leaves are changing!

We are well into our second volume and have done much better than expected. We are hoping that momentum carries into the winter season. When we started, we knew it would take a couple of years to get our legs under us, and, we always envisioned taking time off in the spring and fall. Initially discussing a monthly publication, we saw there was too much going on and realized that news doesn’t ever let up or take a break.

We are planning our every other week run schedule through October, but will continue to post breaking news and important stories online. If you have not had a chance to visit our website, please take a moment and check it out. If you subscribe to our e-edition, you can access our next edition on Thursdays around 5 pm.

I want to thank everyone that has contributed to our success this summer. We couldn’t make it happen without our advertisers and contributors, so if you like what we are doing, please let them know you appreciate them as well. We would also like to thank all of our readers who add to the fabric of our community. Your feedback, letters and donations mean the world to us!

Thank you.
