Cranmer Chapel Dinners continue

The popular Cranmer Chapel dinners continue through the end of March. Held at the Cranmer Chapel, located in downtown Winter Park at 75 High Country Drive, the dinners take place every other Friday, from 5-7 pm. Meals are scheduled 2/12, 2/26, 3/12 and 3/26.

The menus and sponsors vary with each free dinner, and due to COVID-19 restrictions, only take-out meals are available. All are welcome to stop by and pick up a hot meal to go.

Roam Responsibly

Grand County is known for its beautiful vistas, abundant wildlife, and adventurous outdoor recreation opportunities. There is no doubt that tourism is a major driver of our economy.  Nevertheless, during times like now, when we are asking our residents to take extra precautions for the safety of our community, we must also ask the same of our guests.

Before responsibly roaming our vast outdoors and quaint mountain towns, we ask that visitors please read the following advisories and expectations: co.grand.co.us/1289/Visitor-Resources.

Girl Scout Cookies are here!

Our local Granby, Grand Lake and Hot Sulphur Springs Girl Scout Troop is hosting a drive-thru cookie booth on February 6th from 10 am – 2 pm at the Granby Elementary School bus loop.

Come support your local girl scouts by purchasing cookies to help them reach their goals of going to horse camp next year and continuing their community service work!

If you can’t eat them, treat them! by donating boxes to their Hometown Heroes program. This year, they will be using proceeds to donate cookies to those affected by the East Troublesome Fire and first responders.

COVID-19 has changed the way you can buy Girl Scout cookies. Digital sales and drive-thru booths are the new platforms being offered to help keep you safe as you interact with the troop during cookie season. You can order online and pick up at the drive thru, or order in-person on Saturday.

Ride On with The Lift

Due to COVID-19, the buses must operate at 50% capacity. Riders are asked to please be patient and courteous. Masks are required for all riders over the age of 10. To help plan your trip, QR codes have been added to all stops along Main Street to track when the next bus is arriving – or download the Lift Rider app to see buses in real-time.

If you don’t feel comfortable riding the bus, there is also a paid ride service provided on weekends and holidays for Winter Park, Fraser and Meadowridge. Call (833) 274-3397 to schedule a ride.

RMNP aligns with presidential mask order

To protect the health of those who live, work, and visit national parks and National Park Service (NPS) facilities, and in support of President Biden’s Executive Order on Protecting the Federal Workforce and Requiring Mask-Wearing the NPS has implemented a mask requirement for employees, visitors, partners and contractors.

At Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), face masks are now required in all park buildings and facilities. Masks are also required throughout RMNP when physical distancing cannot be maintained, including narrow or busy trails, parking lots, pull-offs and overlooks.

Park rangers are on duty to provide information, protect visitors and park resources, and uphold this requirement. For more information, visit nps.gov/romo.
