No trash on public lands, please!

There have been several recent reports of illegal dumping occurring at pull-offs and trailheads on County Road 73 in the Experimental Forest. According to Erica Bean, Field Project Manager for Headwaters Trails Alliance, “all of our public lands are experiencing an increase in this kind of activity. If you see something, please, say something!” You don’t need to be the enforcer, but if you witness illegal dumping activity, please report it to the local authorities as soon as possible.

First Friday Call for Creators

July 5th marks the second First Friday of the summer in the Winter Park Art District. This summer, instead of having artists create a single piece for a silent auction, they are hosting an OPEN AIR MARKET where you are invited to set up your very own table from 4 – 8:30 pm and sell your goods. Whether you paint, grow food, sculpt, or arrange beautiful bouquets of flowers, all creators are welcome! The creator gets to keep all of the profits, and, a single $5 donation holds your spot. You do NOT need a fancy set up or tent. Bring a table or even a blanket to lay out your goodies. The town will be hopping and the event features live music, food trucks and a bar!

If you’re interested, visit http://bit.ly/FirstFridayRSVP, fill out your registration form and submit your donation. QUESTIONS? email: kimberlee@uptripping.com.
