Winter Park Downtown Plan coming soon

One of the town of Winter Park’s top priorities for 2019 is to develop a Downtown Plan that will help ensure that downtown is thriving, walkable, and welcoming to locals and visitors alike. The project is currently in the very early stage as firms submitted proposals to develop the plan in February. After a firm is selected, more information on the timeline and project details will be available. The town will also be asking for the public’s feedback along the way, so keep your eyes open for public meetings and surveys to engage with! To learn more, visit wpgov.com.

The Lift Transit to host Open Houses

The Lift will be hosting two open houses in March that will provide the community with information on the service and present several service alternatives for the Summer Schedule for the Regional Commuter Line. The dates the open houses will be held are March 11th from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at the Granby Visitor’s Center; and, March 12th from 5:30 – 6:30 pm at the Rendezvous Room (behind the stage at Hideaway Park).

The community is encouraged to attend one or both of these two meetings, located at each end of the Fraser Valley. The Open Houses offer the public a forum to provide The Lift with feedback on the kind of service it would like to see between Granby, Fraser, and Winter Park from May – November.
