Town elections are set for Tuesday, April 3, and a number of seats will be opening up. To enable the community to meet and learn more about the candidates, several towns are holding candidate forums next week.

The Town of Grand Lake is hosting a forum for Town Trustee Candidates on Tuesday afternoon, March 13, starting at 5 pm at the Grand Lake Center. Those interested in submitting questions for the candidates should email them to Samantha Brueger, Grand Lake Chamber Executive Director, at samantha@grandlakechamber.com.  The most frequently asked questions will be sent to the candidates ahead of time, giving them an opportunity to respond prior to the March 13 forum. Meet the candidates running for Winter Park Town Council. The Winter Park & Fraser Chamber and Winter Park Times are hosting a Forum that will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 5:30-7:00pm. Candidates will give a brief introduction about who they are and why they are running for Council. There will be an opportunity for community members to submit written questions the evening of the Forum or in advance via email. These questions will be asked by a facilitator at the session. Fraser Town Board of Trustee Candidates will participate in a forum on Thursday evening, March 15, starting at 6 pm at Rocky Mountain Roastery in Fraser. Candidates will give a brief introduction about who they are and why they are running for the Town Board. There will be an opportunity for community members to submit written questions the evening of the event or in advance via email.Those interested in submitting questions for the candidates should email them to Michael Turner, moderator and Editor/Publisher, Winter Park Times, at mturner@winterparktimes.com. The questions will be drawn randomly and posed at the March 15 forum in a round robin format. If time the forum will open for open comment. The forum is sponsored by Rocky Mountain Roastery and the Winter Park Times.

The Town of Granby has two Trustees running for re-election and five new candidates vying for four Trustee seats. A Candidate Forum for this year’s election has not been scheduled at this time. We will provide an update should a forum be set to take place before the election.
