Fireside Market and Eatery

Winter Park is rapidly changing it’s curb appeal. One of the pieces of the new puzzle is taking shape.  We stopped in and found the crew pouring concrete flooring in the new Grocery store space and spent a few minutes with the new manager/director.  The new market and eatery is an independently owned and family run grocery store with a focus on “fresh.” The familiar face, Nathan Svoboda, Store Director spent five years running sister store, Breckenridge Market and Liquor.  Nathan is excited to be back home, literally.  When he accepted the position in Breckenridge 5 years ago he kept his Grand County residence just knowing that someday he would return.  He spent time visiting 100’s of stores developing the concept for the Fireside Market and Eatery and eagerly awaits the opening of this “convenient place to shop that’s focused on the Grand County lifestyle”.

Winter Park crews are pouring the concrete flooring inside the new grocery story on Monday this week.

The Town of Winter Park welcomes the Fireside Market and Eatery to its expanding retail space. Mayor of Winter Park, Jimmy Lahrman said, “the space is in the heart of town and perfect for this type of grocery establishment.”  the new store will provide an alternative to the tourist and guest that are here without transportation.  “We are excited to see it finally come to fruition.

Svoboda expects to open by the holidays although “we have a lot of work to be ready for the winter season.”

The new retailer expects to staff 50-70 employees depending on the season. Hours of operation are to be determined.
