At 4:41 pm, Friday, September 14th, an evacuation order was issued for residents of the Old Park and Gore Lakes subdivisions.  Just weeks after returning home, hot, dry conditions and a change in wind direction has caused the Silver Creek Fire to double in size, forcing residents to gather their important documents, belongings and pets, and, once again, leave their homes immediately.

The Kremmling Fairgrounds are currently taking in larger vehicles and trailers and will be able to accept a small amount of animals for the time being. Enter the Fairgrounds at 10th and Railroad to make way for the Type 2 Team returning to the scene.

A meeting is scheduled at 9 pm at the West Grand High School in Kremmling where Incident Commanders will provide the latest information on the fire. Initially scheduled for 7 pm, the time was moved to 9 pm to allow residents time to evacuate. Highway 134 will remain open to residents until 7 pm tonight.
