CDOT has announced the addition of a new seasonal mountain transportation route for the popular Bustang line. Beginning on December 14, the new route, tagged ‘Snowstang’, will travel roundtrip from Denver to Loveland, A-Basin and Steamboat Springs ski areas on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, for a total of 40 days of service this winter.

A Bustang route to/through Winter Park via US 40 had been proposed to CDOT by Winter Park Transit Manager Michael Koch, but since Amtrak’s Winter Park Express provides direct service to Winter Park Resort on the same dates the seasonal Snowstang will run, they have tabled a route to Winter Park for now. Koch is hopeful a year-round Bustang Outrider route through Winter Park will be established in the future. To find out more about Bustang routes, visit ridebustang.com.
