11:00 am - 2:00 pm
The Community Baby Shower is more than just a resource fair. It is an event for new and expecting families to ask questions, meet people in the community that are going through the same things they are, and of course to learn about resources available in Grand County, all while celebrating their new arrival.
Hosted at the Granby Library, families are invited to explore resources, including maternal mental health, newborn health, child care programs and other supports in a laid-back setting. A light lunch is provided as well as a fun dessert to make it feel like a party!
There will be opportunities for families to take home free baby items such as clothing, diapers, formula, and baby boxes, as well as the information on how to use each item.
We encourage dads to attend this event as well! There will be opportunities to speak to an experienced dad about fatherhood in a relaxed setting that is less about lecturing and more about personal experience and advice.
If you do not have childcare on this date do not be afraid to bring your children along! There will be a small play area in the community room as well as the children’s room in the main library.
