The Rendezvous Event Center in downtown Winter Park is the setting for another wonderful wine and food event on Saturday, August 18th, from 12-4pm with wine tasting, food samples, live music by Digg and El Javi plus a champagne cork-off sponsored by Deno’s Mountain Bistro.

With nearly twenty different wines represented, some of the vintners featured at this year’s event include: Bennett Valley Cellars, Bronco Wines, Constellation Wines, Curious Cork Imports, First Step Beverages, Foley Family Wines, Gallo Wine, Hahn Family Wines, Jackson Family Wines – Spire Collection, Kobrand Wines, Palm Bay International, Passarelli Wines, Pioneer Wine Company, Riboli Wines – Stella Rosa, Rodney Strong Family of Wines, Santa Margherita Wines, and, Winter Park Winery.

Tamara Davis, Events Manager for the Winter Park Fraser Chamber of Commerce said, “This event has grown each year and we are excited for our 4th Annual Winter Park Uncorked event.”  Davis added, that the number of tickets sold in advance are up so “we are expecting 700-800 this year.” Last year, the event had close to 600 attendees with 400 VIP tickets sold out.

There’s a reason the VIP tickets sell out. VIP Ticket holders are treated to a backstage wine seminar at 1pm, presented by National Republic Distributing Company and Rendezvous, plus, a collection of specialty wines and representatives to discuss each vintner and region.

A variety of local cuisine from participating local restaurants and vendors will also be available at the venue. “It is a nice social afternoon, spending a perfect day in the Rendezvous Event Center and finishing early enough that you can make dinner plans out on the town”, said Winter Park Chamber Executive Director, Catherine Ross.

The ‘Champagne Cork-Off’, presented by Deno’s Mountain Bistro is scheduled for 1:30. The free event will have a prize for longest cork and the winner will take home a bottle of champagne from Republic National Distributing Company.

If you pre-purchase your tickets in advance, you can get in to the event at 11:45 am, for an extra hour of tasting and sampling. Gates open to day of general ticket holders at 12:45 pm. Tickets are still available at: altitudetickets.com.
