The Rough-Writers INK writing group usually meets at Big Shooter Coffee in Kremmling at 8 am.

A Fall Festival takes place 9 am-5 pm Sept. 8-10 with fall-themed activities to include a scarecrow building contest and crafts in the Programs Lawn at 1101 CR 53 in Granby.

There’s a Playground Build event 8 am-5 pm in the Hot Sulphur Springs Town Park, 200 Cedar.

The Winter Park Fall Fest and 17th Annual Grand Kids Fall Festival takes place noon-5 pm at Hideaway Park. The new event includes family fun, inflatables, games, adult fall beverage tasting, bake sale, silent auction, and music by Hunker Down and Raptors.

Winter Park Resort presents its Whiskey and Wings event noon-5 pm. Sample more than 30 kinds of whiskey, 10 different wings, whiskey classes, live music and karaoke, family games and more. Grand County Advocates presents its 9th Annual Taste of Fall 5:30-9 pm at the Grand Ballroom, Inn at SilverCreek in Granby. The event features a tasting of fall foods and beverages, silent and live auctions, and live entertainment with Gary Key & Friends.
