Winter Park Resort presents its Friday Music Series 4-6 pm in The Village (through Aug. 25) with entertainment provided by local Tomy Lee and the Mannequin Band July 7. The Friday shows are followed by Coca-Cola Family Movie Nights (through Aug. 25) on the lawn, with “Homeward Bound” July 7. Both events are free.

Local band Tone & The Vibe, “an eclectic mix of blues, soul and positive vibes,” performs live 6-10 pm at the Winter Park Pub. No cover.

Saturday, July 8

There’s an Arts and Crafts Festival in the Grand Lake town park.

The 2nd annual Tequila & Tacos Fiesta is set at Hideaway Park in Winter Park, with live music by The Rick Lewis Project and a mariachi band. Doors open to general admission at noon.

Cooper Creek Square in Winter Park hosts the Big Bubble Circus at 2 and 3 pm, with face painting, balloons and Bouncy House 1-4 pm.

There’s a High Country Stampede Rodeo 3-9 pm in Fraser.

Local singer / songwriter / guitarist Peggy Mann performs live at The Gateway Inn in Grand Lake 5-8 pm.

The Friends of the Library presents its annual “Tops of the Rockies” event at the Grand Lake Yacht Club 5:30-8 pm. $65. Pre-registration required.

The Winter Park Pub presents guitarist, singer-songwriter Dewey Paul (Moffitt) and band (performing “improv-influenced Americana, or ‘Americana Blues’,” 6-11 pm. No cover.

Monday, July 10

Local musicians Andy Straus and “The Real McCoy” perform live 5-8 pm at Hideaway Park Brewery in Winter Park.

Casa Mexico at Cooper Creek Square in Winter Park celebrates its 4th Anniversary with buy-one-get-one margaritas and mariachi band (at 6 pm).

The Winter Park Pub presents Open Mic Nights with host musician Andy Straus 5-9 pm and Taco Tuesdays through Sept. 5.

Host musician Brian Garcia and Pancho & Lefty’s in Grand Lake regularly present Open Mic / Karaoke starting around 6 pm.

The Crooked Creek Saloon in Fraser hosts Trivia Nights at 7:30 pm. Teams of six, or, join in on another team!

Host Chris Siewak and Ullrs Tavern in Winter Park present Lip Sync Nights starting at 9 pm.

 

Fraser Picnic in the Park starts July 11 and runs through Aug. 29. The lineup features Peggy Mann and Friends July 11, Andy Straus and “The Real McCoy” July 18, Gary Key July 25, Bill McKay (former keyboardist for Leftover Salmon) Duet Aug. 1, Red Dirt Hill Aug. 8, ACME Band Aug. 15, Tight Like That Aug. 22, and Tone and the Vibe Aug. 29. Shows are 6-8 pm at the Old School House Park near the Fraser Town Hall and are free.


Wednesday, July 12

Winter Park Resort hosts free Campfire Sing-a-longs 4-6 pm in The Village gazebo Wednesdays through Aug. 23.

The Basement in Winter Park hosts Open Mic Nights and an open art session.

Idlewild Spirits (under Rudi’s Deli in Winter Park) presents weekly pick-up game nights (5-10 pm). Games on hand. People are also encouraged to bring games they might have.

The Crooked Creek Saloon in Fraser kicks off its Wednesdays in the Garden series, each week to benefit a different local charity 6-8 pm. The schedule includes Joe Swatzki and Sasquatch July 12 (for Grand Huts), Tara Hendricks July 19 (GC Rural Health), Kay Irvine July 26 (Mtn. Thursday, July 13

Swing into the 13th Lions Golf Tournament, a charity event with fun, food, contests and giveaways at Pole Creek Golf Club. $125 includes green fees, cart, breakfast, lunch and “19th Hole Lions Den” appetizers at Bistro 28. www.fraservalleylions.org

The “high-flying action” of the Culpepper-Merriweather Circus flings into the Kremmling Fairgrounds for a one day performance. Tent raising and tours at 10am. $8/$13 – proceeds benefit the Kremmling Chamber of Commerce.

The Winter Park / Fraser Chamber of Commerce presents its High Note Thursday free summer concert series 4-6 pm through Aug. 24 on the new permanent stage at Hideaway Park in Winter Park with folk, bluegrass and Americana from Them Coulee Boys July 13.

There’s a new antique quilts exhibit at Cozens Ranch Museum in Fraser. “Faces and Friendship of Grand Quilters” is on display through July 21.
