Friday, June 16

The Rough-Writers INK writing group usually meets at Big Shooter Coffee in Kremmling at 8 am.

Winter Park Resort kicks off its Friday Music Series 4-6 pm in The Village (through Aug. 25) with entertainment provided by Ali Rose June 16. The Friday shows are followed by Coca-Cola Family Movie Nights (through Aug. 25) on the lawn, with Disney’s “Moana” June 16. Both events are free.

The Grand County Historical Association presents a free History Walking Tour of Kremmling with Tim Nicklas. The tour promotes GCHA’s new book “Go Grand: Seven Tours Through Grand County History”. Participants meet at 4 pm at Heritage Park Museum. Info: (970) 725-3939.

Kremmling Days kicks off at 5 pm. and barrels through June 18, with events to feature the beer garden (5 pm) and Fireman’s BBQ (6 pm), and live music with the Paul Christian Band (5-10 pm).

The Kremmling Library hosts a used book sale noon-4 p.m. in the library community room.

The Girls Leadership Council of Grand County presents “Her Story: A Timeline of the Women Who Changed America” featuring co-author Jill Tietgen 5:30-7 pm June 16 at the Church of Eternal Hills in Tabernash. The book covers more than 850 women in U.S. History from 1587-2011. Host is Paula Daniel Steinbacher.

“Walking Jukebox” Gary Key plays rock and Americana covers and originals for the Grand Classic at Granby Ranch. Info: (970) 887-3111.

The Grand Foundation presents its 18th Annual Grand Classic Golf Tournament June 16-17 at Pole Creek Golf Club and Granby Ranch with tournament play (shotgun start at 10 am) and a Friday evening event with live music (by Gary Key) at the Base Lodge at Granby Ranch (open to the public, $35 or $60 for two). Left of CentreSaturday, June 17

Kremmling Days continues with a 7 am pancake breakfast, followed by the Mustang Mile Race (9:45 am), parade (10 am), Fireman’s kids games, horseshoe tournament, cliff golf, beer garden and vendors, and Kid Zone (11 am); and free street dance featuring Left of Centre (6 pm).

Grand County Pet Pals hosts its Doggie Dash 2017 with fun run/walk starting at 9 am (registration is at 8 am) at the Granby Trails (just off US Hwy. 40 and 34), silent auction, and treats. Proceeds go toward constructing the Bark Park. Info: gcpetpals.org

Kremmling Days wraps up with an 8 am pancake breakfast, followed by the Rocky Mountain Armament Fun Shoot (9 am – 5 pm on Mulberry Hill), and 10 am church service in the town square.

The Winter Park Pub kicks off its summer Sunday Fundays June 18 (runs 4-8 p.m. through August), with (Gary) Key and (Sam) Osborne. Future Fundays include an after-Blues party June 25 (6 pm), Red Dirt Hill July 2, Key & Osborne July 9, TBA July 16,  TBA July 23, Gary Key solo July 30, TBA Aug. 6, a bluegrass afternoon (1 pm) Aug. 13, and TBA Aug. 27.

Local band Tone and The Vibe (Tony Rosacci, guitar, lead vocals; Scott Simmons, bass; and Dave Percival, drums) perform live 6-9 pm at the Daven Haven in Grand Lake. No cover.

Ullrs Tavern presents Kill the Keg events featuring beer specials and DJs or live music Sundays starting around 9 pm.


Monday, June 19

Local musicians Andy Straus and “The Real McCoy” perform live 5-8 pm at the Hideaway Park Brewery in Winter Park.

Kenny Sciuto hosts Open Mic at Ullrs Tavern in Winter Park, starting around 9:30 pm.

The Basement in Winter Park hosts Trivia Night 8-10:30 pm.


Tuesday, June 20

Host musician Brian Garcia and Pancho & Lefty’s in Grand Lake regularly present Open Mic / Karaoke starting around 6 pm.

The Winter Park Pub presents Open Mic Nights with host musician Andy Straus (of Hunker Down) 5-9 pm Tuesdays through Sept. 5.

The Crooked Creek Saloon in Fraser hosts Trivia Nights at 7:30 pm. Teams of six, or join in on another team.

Host Chris Siewak and Ullrs Tavern in Winter Park present Lip Sync Nights starting at 9 pm.


Wednesday, June 21

Winter Park Resort hosts free Campfire Sing-a-longs 4-6 pm in The Village gazebo Wednesdays June 14-Aug. 23.

The Basement in Winter Park hosts Open Mic Nights and an open art session.

Idlewild Spirits (under Rudi’s Deli in Winter Park) presents weekly pick-up game nights (5-10 pm). Games on hand. People are also encouraged to bring games they might have.

The Fraser Valley Library hosts special community helpers during Story Time (10 am), featuring Sophie the registered therapy dog and Mikey, her adult companion.

Local singer / songwriter / guitarist Peggy Mann performs 6:30-9 pm at the Sagebrush in Grand Lake.

The Winter Park / Fraser Chamber of Commerce presents a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new permanent stage at Hideaway Park, followed by Big Head Todd and the Monsters in concert (free), starting at 6 pm.

Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre in Grand Lake presents “Mamma Mia!” Doors open at 8 pm. Ticket info: (970) 627-3421.

Host musician Adam Lynam and the Crooked Creek Saloon presents Open Mic Night, starting at 9:30 pm in Fraser. Artists of all kinds are encouraged to sign up. Acoustic guitar may be on hand to play.

Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s 50th anniversary summer season includes “Mama Mia!” (opens June 9); Disney’s “Newsies, the Broadway Musical” (opens June 16); “West Side Story” (opens June 30); and “Almost Heaven, Songs of John Denver” (opens Sept. 1). The first three run on rotation throughout the summer. There’s also a Family Night July 17, and a Cabaret July 22. Ticket info: (970) 627-3421.

State Bridge is under contract to be sold (expected transfer of ownership was June 9. Former owner Doug Moog says he’s been asked about this summer’s music schedule and that he expects the new owners will have “good answers very soon.”)

The Winter Park Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to celebrate the new stage at Hideaway Park. The first event on the new stage will be a High-Note Thursday concert in the park. Big Head Todd and the Monsters will kick off the series June 22nd with a ribbon cutting celebration.
