The Annual Mountain Bike Capital Weekend is filled with events and activities.  Bike Clinics with pro cyclists; free family fun ride and Colorado Freeride Festival at Winter Park Resort are the main highlights but the weekend is so much more.

Alison Powers and ALP Cycles Coaching along with other high-level  mountain  bike  coaches  /  professional  riders will be at Hideaway Park, downtown Winter Park to offer personalized   training   and   skills   clinics   bikers   of   all abilities  an  ages.   These  clinics  are  designed  to  help riders become more confident by dialing in bike handling skills, confidence, fitness and more.  Registrants  will  ride  with  Alison  Powers  (5  x  National Champion,  USA  Cycling  Level  2  coach,  who  grew  up  in Fraser).   Other   coaches   include   Alison   Dunlap   (2001 world  mtn  bike  champion,  USA  Cycling  Level  1  coach), Ann  Trombley  (2000  Olympian,  USA  Cycling  Level  1  coach)  and  Sarka  Ruzickova  Swenson  (Mountain Bike and skills Coach). The Winter Park & Fraser Chamber are ramping up for the annual Rendezvous Mountain Bike Capital USA™ Weekend this coming Friday through Sunday, July 28-30.

The 2017 Colorado Freeride Festival, the state’s premier gravity mountain biking event, is this weekend at Winter Park Resort.

At the four-day event, nearly 800 athletes will be competing in several events; Air Downhill, Super Downhill, Maxxis Slopestyle and a new event called Short Track, an exciting lap race for all ages and abilities. This is one of the nation’s premier bike events and racers will be competing for over $25,000 in prize money.

For spectators, there will be free activities including MAXIS stunt team demonstrations, a vendor Festivillage with some of the biggest bike manufacturers, Family Bike Festival with Kids Pump Track, and the ever popular Intergalactic Pond Crossing.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Maxxis Slopestyle finals taking place on Saturday and featuring some of the world’s best riders.Intergalactic Pond Crossing on Saturday is back for a eleventh straight year and the new Short Track event will be an exciting addition to the weekend of events and racing. The Downhill Finals will close out the weekend on Sunday.
