The membership drive for the Grand County Blues Society (GCBS) is currently underway and on Friday, March 29, the community is invited to a free show with Southern Avenue at Ullrs Tavern in Winter Park.
Southern Avenue performed at Blues From The Top in 2018 and have traveled the world since. They return to Winter Park to celebrate with an evening of world class music. The show starts at 9 PM.

GCBS’s mission is to promote the American musical art form known as “The Blues” by hosting live performances by Blues musicians and providing events to educate the public about the history of Blues music. GCBS’s membership fees and community contributions keep GCBS’s programs running throughout the year.
The Blues in the Schools program brings national and regional blues artists to local schools and educates the students on the history of the blues and the music form of the blues. All funded by GCBS. PLUS! Did you know… National award-winning (BITS) music educator Dan Treanor will be performing in four different schools in Grand County Schools this week? The kids will be educated on the history of the blues and selected few will receive a brief harmonica lesson with a complimentary harp!
Blue Star Connection’s mission is to provide access and ownership of musical instruments for children and young adults with cancer and other serious life challenges. To date we have reached over 800 hundred kids and have donated musical gear to 65 Children’s Hospitals and Music Therapy programs, as well as several other community programs.
Check Out The Music enables people throughout Grand County to borrow instruments from the local library using their library card.
