Master Chefs Partner for Unique Culinary Event at Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa.

Michael Pollan once said that “The shared meal elevates eating from the mechanical process of fueling the body to a ritual of family and community, from the mere animal biology, to an act of culture.” In an era where we are constantly connected, where communication has been reduced to a quick text or email and Twitter is the chosen method to share news, Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort brings an opportunity to come together as a community and to celebrate the farms and ranches of Colorado.

Serving up a breathtaking Continental Divide backdrop at Axels Pavilion at Devils Thumb Ranch Resort, this Sunday evening indulgence partners Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort’s Executive Chef Josh Bettis with Denver’s Old Major Executive Chef Justin Brunson, to prepare a special Wagyu feast.  Chef Josh describes the event as “a truly exceptional culinary experience that’s rustic, earthy and groovy” an opportunity to “wind down the summer celebrating what the earth and soil have given to us”.

Chef Justin

Executive Chef, Justin Brunson

Guest Executive Chef Justin Brunson brings close to two decades of culinary experience to this endeavor. His passion for heritage-raised meats, sustainable seafood, and ingredients sourced from local farms reaches beyond Denver. Brunson travels the country sharing his unique point of view and inspiration, while sharing stories and tapping into the pulse of the industry. Born and raised to an Iowan farming family, Brunson’s childhood was spent gardening, hunting, and fishing. These activities along with his agricultural roots have helped to mold his passion for food and its preparation.

The pairing of two such talents with Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort Wagyu and some of Colorado’s finest craft food and drink purveyors including, 291 Whiskey, Elevation Artisan Meats, Republic National Distributing Co., Haystack Mountain, Isabelle Farm and Upslope Brewing Company promises to make this a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining experience.
