Saturday, January 26

  • 6th annual Stagecoach Classic Race & Tour at Devil’s Thumb Ranch is an “off the map” 30km or 15km classic only cross-country ski race. It is a unique chance to experience a trek from Devil’s Thumb Ranch through the old Idlewild Ski Area to Hideaway Park in Winter Park.

  • 31st annual Three Lakes Ice Fishing Contest.  Enter to win prizes and participate in one of the best ice fishing contests in the Rockies!

Saturday, February 2 – Sunday, February 3

  • Grand Lake Pond Hockey Classic, a 3-on-3 tournament on 3 rinks. Prizes for first and second place teams in each division.

Saturday, February 9

  • Grand Nordic hosts the Ranch to Ranch Trek in a 13 km trek from Granby Ranch to Snow Mountain Ranch via the Fraser to Granby Trail.
  • Grand Lake’s Winter Carnival. Join Grand Lake for all of the wonderful, fun events of Winter Carnival 2019 “Under the Big Top”! The day is packed with fun-filled events like teapot curling in the ice rink, snow golf, a parade, bed sled races and human bowling.  A fireworks display at dusk tops off the day!

  • 44th annual Wells Fargo Ski Cup! The Wells Fargo Ski Cup boasts the longest running professional ski race in the country and serves as a signature fundraiser for the National Sports Center for the Disabled.

Saturday, March 2 – Fat Tuesday, March 5

  • Celebrate Mardi Gras with traditional Louisiana fare and live music at the resorts and many of the local restaurants and bars.

Saturday, March 9 & Sunday, March 10

  • Snow Mountain Ranch Stampede at Snow Mountain Ranch in Tabernash features Freestyle races on Saturday, and, Classic races on Sunday plus a free 2K Kids Fun Race on both days.  8 am – 5 pm.

Saturday, March 16

  • Granby Ranch hosts a Night Ski and live music from 4 – 8 pm.

Sunday, March 17

  • St. Patrick’s Day celebrations are held just about anywhere you go. Wear your best green and enjoy the festivities.

Friday, March 22 – Sunday, March 24

  • Spring Festival at Snow Mountain Ranch Nordic Center. Events featuring snowshoeing, fat biking and nordic skiing will fill the weekend.

Saturday, March 30

  • Granby Ranch’s Spring Splash is a big end of season party, with a DJ starting at noon and the pond skim from 2 – 4 pm.

Saturday, April 20

  • The Headwaters Center in Winter Park hosts the Spring Social fundraiser, benefitting the Winter Park Ski Education Fund.

Sunday, April 21

  • At Winter Park Resort, kids participate in an Easter Egg Hunt for skiers (meet at Porcupine and Bobcat Trails in Discovery Park at 11:45 am) and non-skiers (meet at 11 am at the Village Gazebo). The Golden Bunny Race is an untimed, FUN race on Lower Village Way Trail.
  • Spring Splash at Winter Park Resort. The oldest tradition of its kind, it’s the 51st year of this annual favorite. Watch skiers and riders work their way through obstacles on the Larry Sale trail race course and attempt to skim across an icy pond to reach the finish line and post a time. Prizes and swag go to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the skiing and snowboarding categories. 12 – 3 pm.
