The 6th annual Bulls, Boots and BBQ fundraiser topped last year’s mark of $23,000, according to Jen Fanning, Executive Director for the Grand County Rural Health Network (GCRHN). The event was hosted by the BLazy2 Ranch and Events Center in Fraser and had nearly 200 people in attendance.

Each year, GCRHN honors individuals in the healthcare field for the work they do for our community. The 2018 Award for Excellence recipients were Heather Bentler, RN, and Dr. John Nichols.

The event’s silent and live auctions raised over $26,000 for the healthcare network and its programs. Fanning said, “It is the hard work of our community and the commitment of the providers that makes the event successful”, adding, ”we have a community of dedicated people.”

The organization would like to see 100% access to affordable healthcare services in the next 4 to 5 years.
