Christal McDougall, Theatre Director, Middle Park High School said “The fall show was really great. It’s amazing how much can come together in the last few weeks – even the last few days. We were all thrilled to have almost-full houses on Thursday and Saturday nights, so the audiences must have enjoyed it. I am so proud of this group.”

McDougall added, “The tech crew was amazing. Without them, we wouldn’t have a show.”  I’m grateful to have students who know so much more than I know about lighting and sound engineering. Tech directors Henry Kacik and Matthew DeCicco were mentoring younger students as well as working with the live band that accompanied us. They really earned their stripes with this show. And Ruthie Everhart (stage manager) had to orchestrate all of the transitions with our huge set piece. In the end, the team really came together!

The next show for high school theatre deaprtment will be “The Addams Family” musical. McDougall moved the rehearsal and production dates to align more closely with the winter sports/activities schedule at school, so they will be holding auditions right after Thanksgiving, and the show will go up March 7-9.
