Frances “Fran” Finnigan memorial fund raised $5,250.00 for Grand County EMS

Frances “Fran” Finnigan passed away on August 31 following a traumatic brain injury.  Fran was a devoted and loving wife to Dennis Finnigan, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.  Fran and Dennis have been long-time residents of  Winter Park.  They would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on September 4th.

The family set up a memorial fund in Fran’s honor to support Grand County EMS and raised $5,250.00.  The funds were presented at a ceremony at the Grand County EMS headquarters in Granby.  Deputy Chief Allen Pulliam and Captain Audrey Jenning’s were presented the check by Dennis Finnigan and Fran’s Grandson, Edward “Eddie” Connolly.

The Finnigan family chose to donate funds to Grandy County EMS based on a close connection to the organization.   Grand County EMS treated Fran initially after her traumatic brain injury.  The staff were professional, knowledgeable and caring.  In addition, Fran & Dennis helped their grandson Eddie study for and pass the NREMT.  Eddie completed this EMT course through Grand County EMS, taught by Captain Audrey Jenning’s.  Finally, Fran loved visiting with the EMS staff while working at Fireside Market.  The staff would often refer to her as “Grandma Fran”.

The Finnigan family wants to thank all Grand County residents who donated funds.
