The 3rd Annual Lions International Peace Poster contest theme is ‘Journey to Peace’. The art contest is open to children worldwide, ages 11-13, sponsored by local Lions Clubs and the club winners move on to District judging (our District is 6 West) and from there to State and on to the international level.  In 2017, the Fraser Elementary winner, Wil Solomon, won District and State honors and ended up with awards totalling almost $600. Our Fraser winner this year, Zanna Berman, has also won the District award and is moving on to the next level of judging.

Ingrid Karlstrom, a lifetime advocate for peace said,” I finally jumped on the bandwagon 3 years ago after a couple of years of thinking about it, as I ascribe whole-heartedly to the concept and furtherance of Peace.” Ingrid is on the local chapter of the Lions Club Board and said “It was easy to convince them to support the International contest as we are always looking for new ways to get the money we make out to the local community.”
