The Board of Trustees for Grand County Library District announces the appointment of Polly Gallagher as our new Executive Director for Grand County Library District.

Polly comes to the position with broad experience in serving our communities. As an educator, director and resident she knows Grand County well. 

She has served as Public Services Director since October 2018 and will step into the Executive Director role effective May 1.

With a Master’s in Education, she is dedicated to the boundless opportunities our Grand County libraries provide.  Recognized for her work in program innovation and development, she looks to continue Grand County Library District’s role as an accessible resource for balanced and trusted information with opportunities to support a smart, inclusive, connected community. 

We extend many thanks to the participants in this recruitment process, especially the Friends of the Grand County Library, GCLD Foundation Directors, District staff and community. The Library branches maintained a high and admirable level of service during the transition of directors since January, The management of operations was capably handled by administrative staff, as well. 

A warm welcome is extended to Ms. Gallagher in this new role with our district.
