On July 26-27, downtown Fraser (aka FroDo) was transformed to an art mecca of sorts, as nineteen local and regional artists gave life to blank 8’x8’ panels on the grounds of the future Fraser Center for Creative Arts. The themes celebrated the Fraser Valley with local history, preservation, transportation and outdoor life.

The inaugural Fraser Mountain Mural Festival drew hundreds of spectators to the two-day event. After the awards were presented, the 19 works completed during the festival have remained on display at the site for residents and visitors to walk through and appreciate at their leisure.

On Monday, August 26, all 19 pieces of art were listed on the handbid auction site, which will run through Monday, September 2, closing at 6 pm. The mural auction is a fundraiser for the future Fraser Center for Creative Arts, and the auction proceeds from each piece of artwork will be split 50/50 with the artists.

The town of Fraser will deliver the pieces to lucky auction winners within Fraser town limits. Others may arrange for pick-up by September 30. To bid on the unique pieces, download the handbid app or visit handbid.com.
